الأب كالشجرة في العطاء فهو يمنح بلا مقابل وكالنهر في الحب والحنان دائم الحب، والأب كطائر في عمله يغدو صباحاً ليحلب قوته وهو صمام الأمان للأسرة فهو يحميهم من المخاطر التي تحيط بهم.
الأب كلمة عظيمة قد تكون قصيرة الطول قليلة الأحرف إلا أنها طويلة الأمد في العطاء كبيرة المكانة؛ فالأب يحافظ على أسرته متماسكة ولا يفرقها شيء يقضي ساعاته الطوال في العمل، ولا يعرف الملل لكي يعود إلى بيته محملاً بالأكياس الكثيرة التي تمد أبناءه بالقوت فلا ينقصهم بعدها شيء.
الأب هو المربي دون تقصير فهو يطمح في تربية أبنائه وتنشئتهم تنشئة طيبة سليمة بعيدة عن الانحلال نزيهة لا ينقصها شيء، فكلامه يريح القلوب ويثمر الصدور فهو الذي لا يتعب من سماعهم وإرشادهم ولا يمل من دعهم وتشجيعهم وإرشادهم
فهو الطبيب الذي يقف على مشاكلهم ومعضلات أمورهم فالأب هو السور الذي يحمي العائلة ويذود عنها، وهو عمود البيت،
وسرّ استقراره. الأب هو دفء الأبناء في الشتاء وفرحهم في الربيع وهو الذي لا يزوره النوم حتى يطمئن على أبنائه بأن كل واحدٍ منهم قد أخذ مكانه ونام، فقلبه لا يجد لذة الراحة بعد طول التعب ومشقة الحياة إلى بعد أن تسكن روحه بالاطمئنان على أبنائه.
